How to Choose a Pressure Washer
Pressure washers are chosen around the job, the power available on site and how many hours a day the machine runs. These are the factors our team asks about most often.
01Working pressure and flow
Pressure removes bonded dirt, flow rinses it away. Car washing and general cleaning are usually served at 100-150 bar, while paint preparation, heavy plant and yard cleaning call for 200-250 bar. Both figures matter.
02Power source
Electric models suit indoor bays and anywhere with a reliable mains supply — single-phase 220V for lighter duty, three-phase for continuous use. Petrol and diesel models go where there is no socket.
03Duty cycle
Occasional cleaning is well served by a portable unit. Several hours a day of continuous work calls for a cart-mounted machine with a larger pump; a diesel engine holds up better over long shifts.
04Hose, reel and inlet water
Hose length decides how far the operator can work from the machine; a reel keeps it manageable. Inlet water temperature also matters. All of these are set per order.
Tell us what you are cleaning, the power available on site and your order volume, and our team will recommend a suitable pressure washer with full specifications.
